My Story

I am Alison and I setup Bellamy's Pad over ten years ago, dedicating it to my beautiful dogs, Bellamy, Beaumont and Cassi, sadly no longer with me in body, but always with me in spirit and forever in my heart. The most gorgeous, loyal, loving, intelligent dogs anyone could wish for. Also dedicated to all the dogs in my early life and the wonderful ones sharing my current adventures.

I worked in the veterinary industry for several years as an animal care assistant, which was highly rewarding but very stressful. I am grateful for the experience I gained, which really helps me with my own dogs and client dogs' health and welfare requirements.

After witnessing lots of problems over the years, I felt passionate about making positive changes by helping to educate owners and improve the lives of dogs.

I am proud to have helped numerous dogs feel happier in the grooming environment and for owners to feel more empowered after receiving advice on grooming, health products and nutrition.

Meet My Dogs

Bellamy

Bellamy, the most obedient of all from a mere four months of age, absolutely trustworthy on all of our adventures, including a cable car ride and carrying my ski poles for our cross country winter hikes. A true, loyal companion, still missed after many years.

Beaumont

Beaumont was an extremely handsome, tall, gentle, gentleman. Winner of several rosettes. A very chattie chappie. Loving, kind, loyal, adored water and being in the kitchen! Missed every day.

Cassi

Cassi, dear loving kisser Cassi. Taken too soon at only 8 years of age. A big hole in our household without her, although thankfully I have her sister to still give me cuddles. She loved everyone and was always wanting to lick folks. Playful, cheeky, a real scallywag at times, but so intelligent and laid back. We miss you terribly.

Bonnie

I inherited Bonnie when my mother passed away. Such a gentle girl. Loved relaxing. Adored horizontal play fights with my Beaumont. A great buddy for my boy. A sad day when we lost her.

Sophie

The most adorable puppy, so cute, so fluffy. A real escape artist as a puppy, often crawling through the hedge to our neighbours. She was the first dog I owned for myself and such a wonderful addition to our other two Retrievers. Solomon absolutely adored her and slept with her from day one. Such a hole in our lives when eventually losing the fantastic threesome.

Honey & Solomon

Mother and son, Honey was our family's very first Golden Retriever and we all fell in love with her and the Retriever breed. When she had puppies I wanted to keep them all but was only allowed one, which was the first born, Solomon. He was GORGEOUS, so handsome, so gentle, very obedient and was top of obedience class. He won several show rosettes but the show scene was horrid, so that stopped quickly. We loved him as a family member. Heartbroken when he left us at age 15 years.
